Message from the President
The past year has been an active and exiting one for the Ontario Association for Behaviour Analysis (ONTABA). In an effort to follow our mission of demonstrating leadership, knowledge and innovation in education, training and the promotion of the science of behaviour analysis, your board has taken on new initiatives and directions in an attempt to better serve the membership.
Our annual conference held November 10-12 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre was a huge success with respect to both content and venue. Your feedback has been very positive and we look forward to incorporating comments and suggestions into next year’s event. We were very happy to be able to offer continuing education credits again this year and hope to continue to expand on this opportunity in the future. We have already commenced planning for this year’s conference and look forward to seeing you all again in the fall.
In the meantime, the board is hard at work on numerous initiatives and ventures to enhance the services offered to our membership, such as:
I am looking forward to working with the new board on these and other projects. It is an exciting time for the field of Behaviour Analysis in Ontario and we have a highly motivated and dedicated group to help lead us into the years ahead.
In closing, I would like to thank all outgoing board members for their time and dedication with special thanks to our past president Darryl Nurse. We will strive to continue meeting the standard he has set.
Regards,
Jen Porter
